I was sickly and malnourished. God answered my mother’s prayers through FL.
I grew up malnourished and frequently sick. My family lived below the poverty line, our home constructed from light materials with a leaking roof. There were days when three meals were a luxury. My father, a gambler, left my mother to shoulder the responsibility of providing for the six of us. Life was incredibly challenging. My older sister experienced panic attacks when our father returned home intoxicated. Despite my physical weakness from malnourishment, the overwhelming sense of hopelessness came from witnessing my family’s struggles, particularly my mother’s.
However, God answered my mother’s daily prayers. My younger siblings and I attended the Saturday Feeding of Miracle Central and Fishes and Loaves under the Bridge. It wasn’t just a physical nourishment; we also gained joy and hope through learning about Jesus Christ, my soul and my spirit was nourished as well! I felt the love of God through the embraces of Pastor Elaine and the entire team. I cherished attending church, where I could dance and sing for Jesus Christ. In 2013, my two younger brothers and I became FL Scholars, and my mother volunteered with Miracle Central and Fishes and Loaves.
Currently, I am a Grade 11 student and an achiever in school. I am grateful for the individuals who provided me with the opportunity to pursue my education.
I am Ainah May Guanzon, 16 years old, and I feel blessed to share my brief testimony with you.
